June 26, 2002 CareWorks adds new Chief Human Resources Officer (DUBLIN, OH) -- The CareWorks Family of Companies is pleased to announce the addition of Fran R. Watkins as Chief Human Resources Officer. Ms. Watkins brings more than 15 years of management, organizational development and senior-level human resources experience to her post at CareWorks. "Ms. Watkins’ experience working with national brands will prove beneficial to CareWorks as we continually strive to improve the performance of our people and processes and expand our operations across the U.S.," said William W. Pfeiffer, President and CEO of CareWorks. "In particular, her knowledge of implementing organizational changes and strengthening business relationships will be felt by our 60,000 employer customers and our more than 600 associates," said Pfeiffer. "Ms. Watkins’ well-rounded strengths in employee relations, training, organizational development, compensation and benefits made her a perfect fit for the ever-expanding needs of the CareWorks Family of Companies," Pfeiffer added. Prior to joining CareWorks, Ms. Watkins was Vice President of Human Resources at Submit Order, Inc., an e-commerce outsourcing company. She was directly responsible for centralizing all training and documentation, as well as designing compensation programs, and developing enhanced benefit plans to better service associate needs. During her tenure the company experienced tremendous organizational change. Prior to Submit Order, Ms Watkins spent four years at The Home Shopping Network, first as Vice President of Employee Relations and Recruiting and then Vice President of Training and Organizational Development. Ms. Watkins introduced a Performance Evaluation Process for all exempt and non-exempt employees of the organization and recruited high volumes of associates for key business growth all within a period of intense organizational change for the 3,000-employee company. Prior to The Home Shopping Network, Ms. Watkins was employed for more than nine years with Saks Fifth Avenue. Ms. Watkins last served as East Regional Human Resource Director, responsible for more than 2,000 exempt and non-exempt employees, operating 18 stores in nine states. Ms. Watkins received her Masters of Arts in French from the University of Georgia and her Bachelor of Arts in French/Latin from the University of South Carolina.
